Ok, so you've taken the NIC written test, and now you are about to take the dreaded NIC performance and interview test. You may have no idea how to prepare for this test, so you have come to the right place. Here, I will explain the basic steps to prepare for the NIC written and performance tests.
First, go to RID.org and buy the performance and interview practice dvd. This dvd will allow you to simulate the testing conditions. Also, it will allow you to videotape yourself and send it to a mentor to have it evaluated.
Second, sign up for a workshop to prepare for the test. Most importantly, you need to prepare your responses for the interview portion. You can also use the book 1,001 Interpreter Scenarios to prepare for the test.
After you have practiced, make sure you get a good night's sleep before the exam. Make sure you arrive early to the examination location, and I wish you the best of luck!
